Happy Tails: 2/20/12

Happy Tails: Jessie

"Jessie is doing sooo wonderful. She has adjusted much better then we expected. She was up a little last night wandering around and meowing, but came to me in bed for comfort. We got her a scratching post and toys. She has been eating but I don't think she has gone to the bathroom yet. At least nothing in her litter box.  She is sun-bathing now and purring. My daughter is so happy with her. We are giving her lots of love and I feel she was the perfect choice for us!"

Happy Tails: Noodles (now Bacchus)
"Just wanted to share some photos! He is the best! He had his yearly physical in Jan. and they wrote on his record Sweet Boy! He is so good. Everyone who meets him just adores him. Enjoy the pictures, bird watching, playing with the toy we got from you (his favorite) plays catch with us !!!
I'll keep in touch! We can't wait to get home each day, soon as we settle on the couch to watch some TV he is right there on our lap all night long kneading and purring. We just love him!!!!!!!!"

Cat of the Week: Jessie

Jesse is a beautiful girl who's just a touch over eight years old. She loves it when people pet her and likes to sit on laps.

However, Jesse doesn't care very much for other kitties and would like to be the only kitty in the house. Please drop by our Granby center and see for yourself how beautiful and lovable Jesse is.

Happy Tails: 2/15/12

Happy Tails: Missy
"Just wanted to send you an update on Missy. She settled in nicely & within a few hours of getting here she was wandering downstairs, after exploring thoroughly upstairs. Max had his hissy fits but things settled down quickly. She may be tiny but she has spunk (and she’s quick on the get away). They were nose kissing by Friday night. I attached a picture I took Sunday night. Not the greatest but it show how things have settled in & Max is willing to share “his” bed. The humans are allowed token space. Now they’re using the stairs & upstairs hallway as their speedway. Sounds more like baby elephants than a couple 10 pound cats!"

Happy Tails: Nermal
"Kevin and I just wanted to update you on Nermal. He is very slowly starting to come out of his shell. We both think it will take a little time for this sweet boy. He's eating and drinking just fine. He has his own room with a half door on it,and a cut out window. We keep the door open when we are home so he comes out and explores. He has a bunch of toys, catnip pillow, hidey hole, cat scratcher. Loves to play and LOVES his pets! Just a huge PURRball. Kevin said he's never heard a cat purr so much, even while he's eating."

Cat of the Week: Dior

Dior is a GORGEOUS cat! She is sweet, affectionate and comes when called. She would do great as an only kitty because she would love lots of attention. She is playful, well mannered and is a very clean girl. This sweetie is looking for her forever home, call or email to make an appointment to meet Dior.

Happy Tails: 2/8/12

Arrista (Meadow) & Pumkin (Deno)
"Everyone is doing OK. Meadow is very playful and chases Pumkin all around the house. She also loves to play with her toys. She lets us pet her and she licks hands, but still will not jump or stay on the couch with us.  Pumkin is very content. He comes when called and is very lovable and is happy to cuddle with us.  Both love to explore and have found high cabinets to jump to and sleep. Meadow does sleep on the bed during the day with Pumkin if I'm not home.  If I'm home, he is always with me.  Guess I got what I wanted and they have a good home."

Billie Jean (Charlotte)
"Charlotte (Billy Jean) is a wonderful little girl! She is the first to greet me with a purr when I get home from work, she loves to cuddle at night and I have found her and Bailey sleeping together in a very small bed and in Bay's cat condo, I have also seen him lick her head when they are sitting together. She LOVES to play and sometimes thinks its OK the climb the drapes to get something and somehow she does it even with her soft paws on!...she is learning. They are fast becoming partners in crime getting into things and exploring together. I enclosed a pics of Bay and Charlotte. I found them the other night in the basement window near the ceiling (one of the pics).

Happy Tails: 1/30/12

Happy Tails: Ike
"We adopted Ike a year ago and just wanted to thank you for bringing us together. Ike had a few trust issues (who could blame him), but with a lot of love, patience, and time, Ike has finally reached his comfort zone. Ike came to us with very good manners and we love having him as part of the family. His favorite past-times are: window hunting, kitty tag, playing with his toys, and being a part of everyday life."

Happy Tails: Kiko, Kenker, & Jo
"Just wanted to pass on a hello, thank-you, and update on how Curly (formerly Kiko), Kenky (formerly Kenker) and Uncle Payton (formerly Jo) are doing - they are really doing well, and we are so enjoying them, and I think they're happy/comfortable too. They have definitely made themselves at home. At first Kenky and Uncle Payton were so nervous that they wouldn't come out to eat or allow themselves to sleep (I think). Thank goodness they had each other. But by Monday morning, they were all eating together, and definitely seem to have the run of the place."

Happy Tails: Barney
"Just wanted to let you know Barney is continuing to do super well! He and Bella are still working out the kinks, but in general he has opened up much more to us and the house, often roaming around, checking things out, saying hello, etc. He's even slept in the bedroom a few nights on our computer chair! It's nice to have him close to the rest of us! I want to thank you again for helping us add Barnes to the family. We already love him so much!"
