Garfield is huge lovebug. He wants to be in the room with you and will gladly lay down next to you to let you rub his belly or brush him. When he's happy, his adorable tail curls over his back.
Poor Garfield was betrayed by his people who sent him to a high kill shelter after owning him for nine years. Garfield is such a sweet boy that he was rescued from his terrible fate and sent to us. His previous owner did not take good care of Garfield; he arrived with matted fur and weighed in at 27 pounds.
Garfield needs a home where he can experience some real love... and where he can shed some serious pounds. He truly is a big mush and will reward you with lots of love in return. Garfield would like to be the only kitty in the household (all the better for monitoring his food intake!) because he feels threatened by other kitties.
