Cat of the Week: Jessie

Jesse is a beautiful girl who's just a touch over eight years old. She loves it when people pet her and likes to sit on laps. However, Jesse doesn't care very much for other kitties and would like to be the only kitty in the house. Please drop by our Granby center and see for yourself how beautiful and lovable Jesse is.

Hanging Basket Sale

Our 3rd Annual Hanging Basket Sale is taking place May 7 & 8 from 10AM - 4PM! Stop by and choose from one of our many beautiful baskets.

Baskets are $20 each or two for $30 and all proceeds go directly to the care of our cats.

Cat of the Week: Sparky

   

Sparky is a 7-year old hunk of burning love! He appreciates anyone who will give him a little love and is absolutely thrilled if you'll let him crawl onto your lap. But be warned, he's not a light-weight, so you need to provide a spacious lap.

Sparky just adores being petted and, although his large mass might make it hard to believe, he has a playful streak. He tries to play it cool, but every once in a while, one of the volunteers will catch him batting a toy mouse around or acosting a catnip toy.

If you're looking for a special boy and have the discipline to keep a kitty on a diet, Sparky is the buddy for you!

Happy Tails: Melissa 

"Recall that Melissa was very shy - she's still on the shy side but is getting more outgoing.  She loves her bed - it's cute that she's so small she only takes up about half of a cat bed.  

"She also loves to look out the back door to watch the squirrels and other animals that come hopping through the back yard, and really loves her scratching post we bought from you - she gets herself so excited that she sort of whirls herself on her side around the base of it."

Cat of the Week: Jo

Jo is a beautiful, petite kitty. She gets along well with others or would be fine as an only. At the shelter she loves to be where the activity is.

Jo loves to eat!!! Even though she is tiny, she can enjoy a good meal. She will climb any mountain (or person) to get a taste of wet food.

Jo is also playful and affectionate, she will lick your fingers to show her love. Come meet Jo at our Granby location.

"Lisa (who they are now calling Mama Lisa) has taken to Sue’s mom (Nana) She has climbed all over her, sitting on her lap, on the back of her chair and claiming her bed! Nana is delighted. Lisa has been petting non-stop since her arrival!

 
"Tabitha is the adventurous one, she has enjoyed exploring and climbing on everything (Sue says she likes playing with everything!) Tabitha also has been following Sue from room to room."

Cat of the Week: Ellie & Max

 Ellie and Max are in desperate need! We have two short weeks to find them a home.

ELLIE is a grey and buff colored female. She is a very loving and affectionate kitty. She has a very active playful side, and will carry her toys around with her when she wants to play. She is a very curious girl and doesn't hesitate to jump into an empty laundry basket or box when she sees one. She loves to investigate everything in her sight. She is a very sweet kitty, and will show you the love that one comes to expect from their pets.

MAX is a black colored male. He is very loving and affectionate, and will let you pet him for hours if you have the time. He has a hand fetish, and will seek out your hands so you can pet him. He is a very loyal cat and can brighten your day by just being there.

They both grew up together and enjoy each others company. They have grown up around kids and have never had an issue with them. They will keep their distance when they want to. They love to sleep near each other on the bed, and both enjoy to look out a window and see the views of the busy outdoors.

"Lola is doing great!!  She settled right in almost from the moment we let her out of the carrier on Saturday.  She is eating well, using her box, finding places to sleep & hang out, using her scratch pad & being very sweet and affectionate.  She sleeps near Bev's head on the pillow at night and sits in her lap when she's watching TV."

Cat of the Week: Lourdes

Lourdes is a beautiful, sweet girl just a little over two years old. She really likes being petted and if you hold your hand out, she'll do all the work just rubbing back and forth on it. Lourdes likes to play and can found batting her favorite spider toy around in her cage.

Lourdes isn't fond of other kitties, though, and would prefer to be the only kitty in her new home. Drop by our adoption ceneter in Granby and visit this adorable girl.
